3 Apr 2012	MathWorks Classroom Resources Team	ITK and VTK are C libraries used for biomedical image analysis, visualization, and image-guided surgery applications. This contribution allows to use the libraries within Simulink which allows for shorter development times and high maintailabilty (with respect to simply coding in C ). SimITK/VTK also generates the Simulink blocks directly from the library source files via custom-written automated processes specifically tailored to each library. This ensures that the final blocks parallel their written-code equivalents.
