The name of the submission is very misleading, as it suggests that you provide arithmetic encoding and decoding, while the functions call Matlab's arithenco/arithdeco functions and require Communications Systems Toolbox to work. This is a very simple frontend which could be programmed a lot better, using e.g. histc function.
