Audio Recording to Disk in Matlab UNIX(Mac OS)

Hi,

Can somebody tell me how can I record large audio files(around 30 mins) directly to Disk in a UNIX Matlab(mac OS version)?

There is no Data Acquisition Toolbox in Mac version hence I can not use analoginput. Commands like waverecord, audiorecorder store the sudio data in the matlab memoy instead of Disk. Hence is there a limit of the minutes I can record with those commands?
