export 17*55*18 matrix mat file as a text file

Hello Friends
I want to export 17*55*18 matrix 'surf.mat' file as a text file I used load surf.mat save('text.txt','surf','-ascii')
But it does not work and the following error appears
??? Error using ==> save Variable 'surf' not found.
in case that surf.mat file is in current directory
I would be appreciated if someone help me to solve this problem
I attached related file (surf.mat)

Be careful — ‘surf’ is the name of a built-in MATLAB function.
Name your matrix something else, and it will probably work.

The file wasn’t attached.
It would probably be more worthwhile for you to attach the section of your code that creates your matrix, as well as the save command. (If you post it here rather than attaching it, please format it with the [{}Code] radio button. That makes it significantly easier to read.)
